Gabrielle Calderaro - Artistic Director

 Gabrielle has been teaching dance for the past 32 years.  After having studied at the New York Academy of Ballet, she also studied Jazz with Chuck Kelly and Tap with Leona Antel. She studied and performed with John Young of Alvin Ailey and Kim Snow of Nanette Beardon Contemporary Dance.  She has been the Director of Dance at St Edward Confessor School for the past 20 years, as well as having been the Director of Dance at St. Bernard School and Friends Academy Summer Programs. She has been the recipient of many prestigious awards, having been honored for her choreography from the Nassau County Youth and Education Board for three consecutive years.  Her students consistently win high honors at many distinctive dance competitions. Gabrielle has been on referral staff with O'Conell and Selig Physical Therapists for the past two decades and takes particular pride in her work with the programs she has created at her studio for children with challenges.

Lori Shapiro

Lori grew up in a family of dancers. Her Grandfather was a professional Hoofer and her Mother her first dance teacher.  Lori brings her specialty and love of of tap and the education of the younger child to DT with much joy.  She trained the original Broadway "Billy Elliot" and just recieved top honors for her tap choreography at Starbound Dance Competition.

 Katie Pappas

Katie started dancing at DT as an 8 year old.  She has brought our hip hop teams many high honors in regional dance competitions and has won high honors as a hip hop and contemporary dancer herself. She is currently in her Senior year at Hofstra University and is a beloved teacher at DT.
